Camellia Thanksgiving

Here’s a beautiful camellia from our garden. A traditional thanksgiving image it may not be, but it is an example of something worth giving thanks for. Best thing is, it grew on its own.
Anyway, I found this picture by searching for photos I’d taken on Thanksgiving holidays in the past six years. Along with several turkeys (!) this lovely bloom just happened to appear in my archives, so now it will see the light of day.
I love photos: they are so versatile. With a camera you can tell a story, recall a memory, represent an idea, capture a beauty, … the list of uses is endless.
Happy Thanksgiving!
P.S. yes, I am giving thanks for being a web worker too
because I have no transatlantic commute, loads of flexibility, entertaining web colleagues, and can listen to my choice of music all day without disturbing anyone!

Wow, what a stunning picture! People don’t seem to grow camellias much where I am now, but I used to have them in California. Beautiful flowers–that’s something to be thankful for.
Playing music all day without disturbing anyone, I love that too.
