Hansen on coal spurred me to write to Gordon
December 23, 2007 at 2:45 pm | Posted in Carbon emissions, Christmas Message, Climate change, CO2 capture, CO2 sequestration, Coal, Coal-fired power plants, Germany, Gordon Brown, HM the Queen, iTunes, James Hansen, Letters, Podcast, Power, UK, US, YouTube | Leave a commentJames Hansen recently wrote to our Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, and copied HM the Queen, amongst others, and I hope Her Majesty passes a copy of the letter to HRH The Prince of Wales.
The text of Hansen’s Dear Prime Minister letter is worth studying, along with its attachment covering Basic Fossil Fuel Facts, Responsibility for Global Warming, Implications and Summary: The Need for Leadership.
After reading this, I could not sit here in foggy Windsor and do nothing tonight, so, with the help of GreenPeace starter points, I wrote to Gordon myself.
