Jesus College Chapel and Principal’s Lodge Oxford

Above the door, a Celtic prayer in this most Celtic of all the colleges of Oxford University may be explained as “Let (our) prayer go up (to God) :: that (God’s) grace/kindness may come down (to us)” or, more precisely, thanks to Mr. Dumbra’s advice:

“Let prayer go up :: let grace come down”
