During a between-act interview at Live Earth Wembley, during which the mantra Reduce|Reuse|Recycle was discussed, along with the point that

“You cannot throw things away—because there is no such thing as ‘away’ from a planet perspective,”

Jonathan Ross summed up the idea that if you bring less into your house in the first place, you are saving yourself the bother of recycling packaging and reusing products, with his usual wicked smile:

“If you don’t want to Go Green, Be Mean!”
