More and more what?

Capitalist logic says we must buy, sell and consume more and more each year. Nature’s logic says we can’t.

I shall never understand the economics of infinity that defies common sense. The love of rampant consumption is an addiction that needs treatment, rather than a blessing that needs to be shared with all. We just need to figure out how to avoid temptation when our western lifestyles make it all too easy to overeat, overpurchase and overdo just about everything that involves OTT GHG emissions đŸ˜‰

Worth reading the article wherein that top quote appears, in today’s Guardian Comment:

We would be fools to banish global business from the great climate battle

Capitalism alone won’t save the planet, but it has a critical, innovative role to play. The alternative is to rely on a revolution
