Die Pfarrei St. Georg München

This was the first church, in St. George’s parish, Die Pfarrei St. Georg (click to hear the bells!), that B’s choir sang in.

The students’ voices, coming from the organ balcony during the service, and from the transept for the concert afterwards, sounded beautiful in the high, open modern building, which was consecrated in 1912. The parish of St. George was established in the 12th century, I understand, so although this is a fairly young edifice the community here has a longstanding history of worship.
