Stop Heathrow Expansion petitionIt’s on this page. The headteachers in my own town are also concerned about the existing obstacles to teaching. Department for Transport proposals for Adding capacity at Heathrow airport include expansion of airport facilities to handle twice as many passengers.  This will enable many more flights. Our teachers already have to keep classroom windows closed, even in the summer, because aircraft noise is so loud outdoors it halts conversations. This cannot be good for teachers nor for pupils. On fine days, we get one plane every 87 seconds (on average), and most are too loud to be ignored. For example, As (…38s pause…) I write I see why people in (…23s pause…) Colnbrook talk like this😦
