Having spent a little time noting the number of roses and portcullises inside the Quire of St. George’s Chapel during Mattins this morning, I thought you might like to see the blue sky view, topped with the same decorative motifs at high noon:

This window is above the entrance between St. George’s Chapel and the Albert Memorial Chapel, both connected architecturally, but existing as separate chapels within the grounds of Windsor Castle.

The choir sang so wondrously, they almost had a round of applause … you could see visitors in the congregation getting ready to put their hands together after the canticle, and they were not preparing for prayer!
