California blue sky day

I know you have difficulty imagining this in Wales, but this IS the California blue sky above me right now.  At 7 o’clock in the evening, the blue is all around to the horizon, fringed with tree leaves. Imagine the free energy if surfaces were regularly finished with photovoltaic veneers …

  2. Yes, matt, we are holidaying “back home”. When I stop socialising in the San Francisco Bay Area and restart blogging, I shall tell you more 😉 Actually, I have been waiting for a video of Steve Schneider to appear online, after hearing him speak on Global Warming: Is the Science Settled Enough for Policy? in a Science Outreach series at Stanford University last week. He is a brilliant guy, and very articulate on climate change and public advocacy, not afraid to address science in the media issues. Is there an equivalent scientific speaker in Britain who has not yet been knighted, I wonder? (All those I can think of are already addressed as Sir … and are older than Schneider …)
