Anticipating the Office for Renewable Energy Deployment?

After posting Hutton announces new Office for Renewable Energy Deployment less than a month ago, I wonder now whether the dreamt-of-but-not-yet-created ORED would remain under BERR as a manufacturing initiative, or transfer to DECC as one more thread in a comprehensive approach to energy and climate change?  Hmmm …

Background to my question is found in BERR’s announcement Government launches new framework for UK manufacturers and BWEA’s reaction Office for Renewable Energy Deployment: ‘Not a moment too soon’.

It will be interesting to see how the pieces of the energy and climate policy jigsaw puzzle fit to form the new DECC.
